Internship Opportunity

Interested in spending a term working at SoftSec Lab? We provide various internship opportunities for undergrad students from diverse background. We have many internal projects, and most of them involve building a large and complex system for analyzing program binaries. So if you are interested in buildling a binary analysis system, you are at the right place.

Expected Background?

  • We expect you to know how to write in C and C++.
  • We expect you to have basic knowledge about programming languages (CS320) and systems programming(CS230). Taking these courses is not a must, but it is a plus.
  • We do not expect you to know about hacking.

How to Apply?

You just need to shoot an email to professor Cha, first. We will then have an online interview. We typically ask you to do a small presentation during the interview. We will let you know the details through emails.

Research Topics?

Topics are not fixed. It really depends on your own expertise and interest: we will try to find the best matching topic. So it is important to clearly expose your skills and interest during the interview.

Internship Duration?

We expect minimum two months of full-time internship, but this is not fixed. If your research interest well matches ours, then we can expand it. Some students do their part-time internship during a whole semester, too.

Salary?

We do pay monthly salary for interns.
